Terms of Use

By accessing or using Cortex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

Cortex is an independent research project that uses artificial intelligence to generate cryptocurrency market analyses in a simulated environment (paper trading). All trades are executed with fictional capital ($10,000 USDT) on live Binance prices. No real money is involved at any stage. Users access Cortex to observe and evaluate the performance of an AI system, not to receive personalized financial guidance.

Cortex is not a financial institution, investment firm, or licensed financial advisor. The Service is operated by a sole proprietorship (Entreprise individuelle) based in France.

2. Not Financial Advice

The analyses, observations, and information provided by Cortex are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice.

You should not make any financial decision based solely on information provided by this Service. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. Cortex expressly disclaims any responsibility for decisions you make based on the information provided. Cortex does not represent that its outputs constitute actionable investment insights. Users participate in this experiment with the understanding that simulated results have no predictive value for real-world trading.

3. Regulatory Status

Cortex is not registered as a Prestataire de Services sur Actifs Numeriques (PSAN) with the Autorite des Marches Financiers (AMF), nor authorized as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA).

The analyses published by Cortex do not constitute personalized recommendations within the meaning of Article L. 54-10-2 of the French Code monetaire et financier or Article 3(1)(24) of the MiCA Regulation. All analyses are generated automatically by an AI system and are disseminated identically to all users, without any assessment of individual circumstances, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial situation.

Cortex operates exclusively in paper trading mode (simulated trading with fictional capital). No real transactions are executed, no client funds are held or managed, and no orders are transmitted to any execution venue on behalf of users.

4. Cryptocurrency Risks

Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile and carry significant risk of loss. Prices can fluctuate dramatically in short periods. You acknowledge that:

  • — Past simulated performance does not guarantee future results, whether simulated or real.
  • — AI-generated analyses may be inaccurate, delayed, or based on incomplete data.
  • — Simulated results may differ substantially from real trading due to market conditions, liquidity, and execution factors.
  • — You bear full responsibility for any decision to trade real assets based on information from this Service.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account or Telegram invite links with third parties.

You may delete your account at any time from your account page. Account deletion is permanent, automatically cancels any active subscription, revokes Telegram channel access, and removes all associated data.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Cortex offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. The current pricing is displayed on the account page. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Cortex does not store your payment information.

  • — Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until canceled.
  • — Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page or via Stripe's customer portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • — Refunds: Due to the nature of the Service (immediate access to digital content), refunds are generally not provided. If you cancel mid-cycle, your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period.
  • — Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

7. Free & Premium Access

Free users have access to market analyses and paper trades with a 48-hour delay. Performance metrics and the equity curve are always available in real time. Premium subscribers receive real-time analyses, full AI reasoning, confidence scores, and instant Telegram alerts.

8. Telegram Premium Channel

Premium subscribers may access a private Telegram channel for real-time analysis alerts. Invite links are personal, single-use, and must not be shared. Access to the channel is revoked upon subscription cancellation or account deletion.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • — Redistribute, resell, or publicly share analyses or AI reasoning from the Service.
  • — Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without authorization.
  • — Attempt to circumvent access restrictions or subscription tiers.
  • — Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including analyses, AI reasoning, text, design, and code — is the property of Cortex / atech, unless otherwise stated. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable right to access the content. It does not grant ownership or redistribution rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • — The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • — Cortex is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses from trading decisions.
  • — Cortex is not liable for failures, interruptions, or errors in third-party services (Stripe, Telegram, Binance, Supabase).
  • — Cortex does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any analysis or observation.
  • — Cortex's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Service Availability & Modifications

Cortex is a research project under active development. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited use, or for any reason at our sole discretion. In case of termination for cause, no refund will be provided.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
